Dear Weather World Visitor:
We want you to get the most dynamic experience you can from your visit to Weather World. Because this site is graphics-intensive we suggest that you have your PC programmed with the following settings when you visit:
Graphics resolution set to 640x480 is minimal ~ 800x600 is preferred. PC and Mac users should have their color depth set at thousands of colors ~ millions of colors is preferred. Use of a JavaScript/Java-enabled browser such as Netscape 2.02 or higher is best to browse this site ~ Netscape 3.0 or higher is preferred. Ensure that these options are turned on for the browser you are using. When using Netscape, unless you use them often, turn off the Show Directory Buttons from the Options choice on the menu bar. You may also take off Show Tool Bar if you wish since you will rarely if ever need to use it while at this site. This provides the browser window further vertical expansion, which results in less scrolling on your part on most screens. Certain Macs had various problems navigating this site during the test period prior to installation. These problems have been resolved at our end at this time. Should you experience something disturbing during your site visit which appears to be internal to the mechanics of this website, please contact the website architect and provide the following information: Platform and processor used ~ 386DX40 with Win 3.1, P133 with Win 95, PowerMac with System 7.2.5, Unix, etc. Type and version of browser ~ Netscape 1.2, Internet Explorer 2.0, etc. Amount of RAM on the system which failed ~ 8MB, 16MB, etc. Type of video system on the computer which failed ~ VESA local bus with 1MB, PCI with 2MB, etc. Type of connection to the Internet ~ 14.4 modem from home, Ethernet via a university, TCI via an intranet or ISP, etc. Please provide a valid e-mail address specifying times when you can be reached for further comment. Netscape 4 is highly volatile. Expect a buggy ride if viewing this site with Netscape 4 until Netscape has worked out its bugs. We also want to know what you like about this site. Although we cannot practically make all changes and innovations suggested by our visitors, serious consideration is given to issues and concerns that are important to you as a visitor, and frequently brought to our attention.
